There is a saying that "an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure", which implies that if you help something at its beginning, you can avoid causing it difficulties in the end. I feel that concept applies to people. If our country worked at helping young adults as they start out in life, young adults would require less assistance as they become elders. By helping young adults to become better citizens, we can improve their lives and that of the rest of our country.

I approached this project with the intent of giving young people an organizational model worthy of their place in history. What do I mean by that? Today's young adults have very little faith, trust, or respect for many (if not all) of our civic and economic institutions. My goal is to offer an organizational model that demonstrates fairness between leadership and membership. How? By putting total trust in young people to control it.

Though I still have some (volunteer) work to do in order to complete my part in the project, I am pleased that www.youngnation.org it is off the ground. I've learned from recent projects that getting it started means a lot. Don't let perfect be the enemy of the good. Now, on to Young Nation 2.0 :)        MORE >
